We want to send a big THANK YOU to ALL of you for making this such a successful event this year.  With your sponsorship, donations, and gifts we were able to  fulfill our list of families and make this Holiday one to remember for over 100 families.! The Healthy Start Program here at Dana MS, with Yolanda Aranda as our coordinator is having our annual Adopt a Dana Family .Due to the amazing generosity of the Dana Community members and Staff this program can provide over 90 Dana Families with a holiday experience they otherwise would not have. Dana MS students and families that have been identified were able to make a "wish list" of wants and needs for the Holiday season.  If YOU would like to make a difference this year to a  family in need, please contact Yolanda @ 1310 241 -1117 or via email at yaranda@lausd.net.

In order to provide time to coordinate with recipient families, the deadline for sponsorship donations, is Friday , December 13th. 

If you cannot adopt a whole family but would like to make a donation, you can drop off gift cards, cash or checks to the main office or you can donate through Facebook under Dana Website.

**Dates Extended until after the break- Due Dec 2nd 2019**

The Dana PTO is having their annual See's Candies Fundraiser Drive! The Drive will start Nov.4th and will run through Nov.22nd. The prices are the same as you would pay in the store and you do not need to travel to the mall. All proceeds come back to Dana MS!

*All order forms must be completed in full and money must be submitted by the due date of Nov.22nd. Checks can be made payable to Dana MS PTO.

*All candy orders will be delivered to the school the third week of December.

*Orders will be distributed to the students at the end of the school day.

  • Dana's PTO membership Drive is from 9/16/19- 10/11/19.
  • Hello Dana Mariners and families! We ask you to please join us in supporting our school.By participating in our Membership Drive, you help fund several programs and events here at Dana Middle School including our Art-To Grow-On Program, 8th grade lawn day celebration, and Teacher Appreciation Week . We are also able to contribute to our School Beautification Projects, Dana Families in Need and Top Sail, just to name a few. Our goal is to raise $ 10,000 each year to cover the cost of these programs. So far we have only reached 3.5% of our goal. Please consider making a donation and joining our Membership Drive so our students can continue enjoying these incredible programs. The cost to join is only$10.00 per family, but any amount is appreciated.
  • Volunteer help is Always welcome and needed , but by joining the PTO, you are under no obligation to volunteer. Please consider joining today! Your donation is tax-deductible. Thank You for your continued support!

Dana Middle School is partnering with Sharefest to provide students an opportunity to participate in a 4-week Youth Leadership Academy, from July 8 - August 12.

 

The academy will take place at San Pedro High's Olguin campus, with lunch and transportation from Dana Middle School provided.

Dana Middle School pre-registration will take place the week of August 5th – 9th.

 

All new and returning students are required to pre-register in order to complete and submit various district and school-mandated forms and information.

 

The pre-registration process is critical to ensure that your student will have a complete and accurate schedule of classes the first day of school.

 

The daily pre-registration hours are 9:00am – 1:00pm; please refer to the following schedule for pre-registration dates:

 

  • Monday, August 5: Grade 6 (NON-MAGNET)
  • Tuesday, August 6: Grade 7 (NON-MAGNET)
  • Wednesday, August 7: Grade 8 (NON-MAGNET)
  • Thursday, August 8: MAGNET, Grades 7 and 8
  • Friday, August 9: MAGNET, Grade 6
